Hello FA Community!! 😊

We have been working with FAST to address concerns with FAFSA responses where ‘Independent by Age’ students have answered Dependency questions resulting in inaccurately assigning some dependency status checklists. As a precautionary measure, Dependency assignment queries have had added criteria to account for ‘Independent by Age’.

The following ISIR Jobset queries have been updated to include ‘Independence by Age ‘ criteria:

*UPDATED* CTC_FA_SB_AD_009
*UPDATED* CTC _FA_SB_AD_015
*UPDATED* CTC _FA_SB_AD_016
*UPDATED* CTC _FA_SB_AD_018
*UPDATED* CTC _FA_SB_AD_021
*UPDATED* QCS_FA_ISIR_ACTIVE_DUTY

The query updates are now in PRD; however, you will need to go into your Checklist Run Controls and re-select the queries above (if you are using any of these queries) so your run control captures the new selection criteria of the queries.

*NEW QUERIES!!* 😊

We have also been working with FAST to address concerns with student FAFSA responses inaccurately assigning the Special Circumstances Checklist - Exx162. Furthermore, FAST has collaborated with FA Support to separate out criteria of QCS_FA_SB_AD_162 to be only for Unusual Circumstances or Other Circumstances (Unaccompanied Homeless Youth, or is Unaccompanied, At Risk of Homelessness, and Self-Supporting) and a *new* query for ‘Unsub Only’ has been created.

The following ISIR Jobset Queries have been updated/created to ensure Checklist Assignment accuracy of Dependency checklists by accounting for ‘Independence by Age ‘ criteria as well.

*UPDATED* QCS_FA_SB_AD_162 – Updated criteria to select a student who’s FAFSA has indicated Unusual Circumstances or Other Circumstances
*NEW* QCS_FA_SB_AD_260 – Student’s with a FAFSA indicating ‘Unsub Only’
*NEW* QCS_FA_SB_WV_260 – Waiving checklists assignment of prompted checklist (Exx260) if a new FAFSA is loaded and the new FAFSA no longer has the indication of ‘Unsub Only’

A Clean-Up query was also created to help with all those inaccurately assigned Exx162 checklists that assigned to students who were actually ‘Independent by Age’:
*NEW* QCS_FA_SB_CLEANUP_162 – Clean-up query to locate students with indicated checklist that are considered ‘Independent by Age’
(an attachment has been provided to help with steps of using this query to waive the inaccurately assigned Exx162 checklist 😊)

Don’t Forget!!
The new QCS_FA_SB_AD_260 query will utilize a new Global Checklist; Exx260 – Unsub Only (xx being your Institution’s checklist identifiers) (https://ctclinkreferencecenter.ctclink.us/m/79552/l/942417-create-a-new-checklist-item-financial-aidwhich) will need to be setup. Also, for ISIR Jobset assignment, Exx260 will need it’s corresponding Event IDs: FISExx260I – Initiate & FISExx260W - Waive (xx being your Institution’s checklist identifiers) created as well. (https://ctclinkreferencecenter.ctclink.us/m/79552/l/1039523-3c-engine-event-definitions)
