​Good morning!

For the new FISAP, the FSEOG totals (24c, 24d, 25c, 25d, 26c, & 26d) do not populate like previous aid years because of the CARES Act which allowed emergency FSEOG to be awarded to eligible Grad/Prof students. Below is Oracle's explanation and reasoning behind this.


The lack of totals is by design. The totals are a sum of rows 1-23 in Part VI. There is not a query that pulls in the data for row 23 since there is variability for how a school might have awarded Graduate/Professional students SEOG funds, with the normal SEOG fund type only allowed to be awarded to undergraduate students, per regulations. All of this stems from the CARES Act, which allowed for FSEOG to be awarded to Grad/Prof students as emergency aid by the Department of Education, and as such is now required to be reported on the FISAP.

Since no data is being pulled in for the Grad value, the sum could misrepresent what the actual total is if the school awarded any funds to Graduate/Professional students. Hence, the decision was made to not populate the totals to prevent the possibility of providing incorrect information.  The new fields for Graduate/Professional student FSEOG funds were intended as manual update fields, and it is recommended that fields and the FISAP instructions be reviewed.

To help with getting the totals that are missing, there are delivered FISAP queries available in ctcLink.

The first process of ctcLink FISAP process is to move the Federal Work Study awards into the disbursed column. For colleges that did not have Federal Work Study earnings for 2020-2021, you do not have to run through the External Awards process. You can skip straight to Running the FISAP Report process.
