Learn how to build an accessible program toolkit and digital accessibility program management for online courses and explore general website guidelines based on WCAG 2.1. Topics will include building a culture of accessibility, guiding a campus-wide committee, recruiting qualified staff, tapping into existing communities of practice, developing a plan, and designing a policy/initiative and implementing it campus-wide. You'll also discover a staged approach for adoption of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and digital accessibility, which allows for continual improvement and reevaluation. This course is designed for program managers, administrators, faculty, staff centers for faculty development, instructional technologists, instructional designers, librarians, instructional technology staff, and others who are actively involved in digital accessibility.
