[corrections_edu_it] Desktop Specs - Dell Optiplex Small Form Factor

We will be getting our shipment of Dell 7020's tomorrow. I'll test them and see how they work.  We will be ordering another 75 to complete our order. We ordered the micro form factor, and I was hoping to get a larger form factor on the next order to possibly reuse some of the graphics card we already have.

Hello,

I believe these would work well for us, we currently use Dell OptiPlex systems exclusively and our newest ones (which we don’t have many of) are 7010 SFF models so these track nicely with that. We don’t need any extra capabilities at this time but it looks like these have an available PCI-E that we could utilize for a low profile graphics card if we decide to offer CAD or Graphic Design again. 256gb is more than enough for us and I think moving forward 16gb of RAM should just be the minimum on a new system running Win11 and fine for our use.

Something that we would like to hear back from you specifically is...

RAM: (up to 16GBs)

Hard drive space: (256 or 512)

We also would like to know the number of machines that these would not be able to replace in your classrooms. So, machines that would require better specs due to the software that needs to be leveraged for instance.
