SBCTC FLEX Program Workshop
Learn How to Badge & Submit Your PD

Wondering how to badge your campus professional development so faculty can gain statewide recognition? Join us for a 90-minute, hands-on virtual workshop where you’ll learn how to create, award, and submit badges to the SBCTC Faculty Learning Experience (FLEX) badging program<https://sbctc.badgr.com/public/pathway/65c2b4ba7b1a9e4bbd250593>.

We’re offering two identical sessions—so, select the one that works best for your schedule, or attend both!

Workshop Structure

  *   First Hour: Program overview and an interactive, guided walkthrough of how to badge your PD and submit it to the FLEX program
  *   Final 30 Minutes: Practice time, live troubleshooting, and Q&A

Pre-Work (Required)

A bit of prep ahead of time will help you get the most out of this hands-on workshop. Please complete the following before the workshop:

  *   Create a Canvas Badges/Credentials account<https://badgr.com/auth/signup> using your campus email address.
  *   Ask your Canvas Credentials admin to create an “Issuer” for your department or program and invite you to it, then accept the invitation to join.
  *   Review the “Issuers” and “Badges” sections of the Canvas Credentials “Micro-Lessons” module<https://sbctc.instructure.com/courses/2513051>.
  *   Enroll in the “Faculty Learning Experience” program site<https://www.waol.org/lti/content/register/faculty_learning.html> and review the “For Colleges: Submit your PD to the FLEX Program” module.
  *   Come prepared with a learning experience you’d like to badge.

  *   How to submit your badged PD to the FLEX program
