Hi CATO!
We had a productive July meeting, and the Minutes are ready to review. This is a reminder that members have work to do before our August and September meetings. See below for instructions.
1. Read and review the proposed new CATO Charter<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BgOUKHpEqpAxeh-54GwbxDPNjgYrBev3/edit>. A Word document is also attached. Provide feedback, questions or suggestions to Monica by 5pm on Tuesday August 6th. We will discuss and vote on the Charter during the August meeting.
2. Study the new ADA Title II regulations about web accessibility<https://www.ada.gov/resources/2024-03-08-web-rule/> and come prepared to discuss! Vicki collected several resources to review, and we compiled them into a Google doc<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1yOKtO1CbQe97QcpJ-kgHpwU-fCnfJDYT/edit> for easy reference. We will create a plan for CATO to develop system-side messaging with some guidance on how to prepare for this legislation.
3. Consider running for CO-Chair or nominating someone else! The new charter explains Co-Chair duties. If interested, you can chat with Zach or Michael, too! We will vote in September.
