Hi all,

Registration for Building Bridges is now live! See the email below from Andy Duckworth. I encourage you to review agenda and session descriptions<https://web.cvent.com/event/525e0d47-6400-4605-93c3-6e91d4af17d4/websitePage:645d57e4-75eb-4769-b2c0-f201a0bfc6ce> for the accessibility track.

Specifically, I want to highlight: "Accessibility in Procurement: How to Read a VPAT" presented by UW. This session is August 6th from 8:30-9:20am.

Description: If you make IT procurement decisions, you are assuming risk on behalf of your institution. As the risk owner, you must take steps to ensure the product or service you're procuring is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. How do you do that if you are not an accessibility expert? This session will describe how accessibility is addressed in the procurement process at the University of Washington (UW) and will define and explain Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPAT), a form that vendors commonly use to document their level of compliance with accessibility standards. The focus of this session is on what you can learn from VPATs without being an accessibility expert and will include a review of several example VPATs.
