I copy what Jess said. Once we have trusted testers, then this is probably something to look into. But we aren't there yet. I looked at it last year and filed it away for later. Keep sharing, we are getting closer.

I wrote them a while back. I gave them a summary of what we're working on and asked if their conference would benefit folks that we hope to become testers. They aren't interested in training people, they're more of a group of experts discussing/defining testing standards. It might be a group worth engaging with after we've gotten things off the ground and have a crew of system experts that can contribute.

Hello everyone,

Following the success of our 2nd annual Symposium in October of 2017 in Washington DC (where we almost doubled in attendance from 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland), we are very pleased to announce the location and date of 2018's 3rd annual ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium<https://ictaccessibilitytesting.org/index.html> in northern Virginia:

Save the date: November 6-8, 2018

Pre-event workshops will take place on Tuesday November 6. The symposium will take place on Wednesday November 7 and Thursday November 8.

Venue: George Mason University Arlington Campus, Virginia

GMU's Arlington campus<https://arlington.gmu.edu/> is at 3351 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22201, USA

The event is within the Washington DC beltway, just across the river from downtown DC. The venue is conveniently located on the DC metro and easily accessed from National Airport (DCA), or Dulles International Airport (IAD).

Hotel:

The conference hotel will be the Westin Arlington Gateway<http://www.westinarlingtongateway.com/> at 801 North Glebe Road, Arlington, VA, 22203. The room rate will be $209. A booking link will be provided with the call for proposals.

Call for Proposals:

The ICT 2018 committee<https://ictaccessibilitytesting.org/Committee.html> will be developing the Call For Proposals in the coming weeks. Expect the call for proposals announcement and an updated website by the end of January 2018.
