Keeping you all in the loop- looks like I/we are getting invited to the table.

I want to keep a balance of moving forward for our system, but also the national level work.

Ward- is there any way I can get login access to your ACT in order to demo it if asked or get the link to it on github to share out?

Hi all,

You are receiving this email because you expressed interest in participating in future conversations around collective negotiation for accessibility in higher ed after our panel at AHG.

I wanted to share an update and a request:

1) The next Educause accessibility constituent group phone call will be on Weds. Dec 6th at 10-11am PST (1-2pm EST) and they are planning to discuss the topic of collective negotiation for most of the call. You don’t have to be a member of the listserv to attend, although if you’d like to be, anyone can register for the Educause accessibility listserv<http://listserv.educause.edu/scripts/wa.exe?SUBED1=itaccess&A=1>. I would recommend joining if you haven’t yet, since additional conversations after the call may happen on that listserv. The call-in number is 1-866-662-4001, and the access code is 595 8232#. Please come join us and continue the discussion from AHG!

2) We are planning to put together a proposal to make collective negotiation an Educause project, and are looking for volunteers who might be interested in putting together the proposal. If you have any interest in this, please let me know.

Lastly, if you haven’t seen the Inside Higher Ed article<https://www.insidehighered.com/news/2017/11/15/universities-mull-creation-it-accessibility-group-review-vendor-products> about a similar conversation to our panel’s that took place at the Educause conference last month, consider giving it a quick read!

Best,
Laura
