[BLC] Recruitment Strategies?

Hi all,
I'm the program manager for two bachelors degrees at Bellevue College. The Healthcare Informatics program seems to get a lot of interest by just word of mouth, but the Health Promotion & Education program needs more effort because we're still growing the program. We've been sending letters to existing BC students who meet the program prerequisites inviting them to apply. Some letters were sent via the US Post Office and others we emailed; we've been getting responses from both. We are also sponsoring more events/initiatives on campus that help raise awareness for our program along with providing a service or resource to students. And like many programs, we are trying to use social media more heavily. We had student interns during spring quarter who posted a lot to our social media accounts; I highly recommend getting the students involved in that project.
One of the many areas in which Highline College really shines is DEI. If you're not already connected with community centers or organizations in the area for recruitment, I think sponsoring some Highline information sessions or open houses at those centers or with the organizations could be beneficial. Be sure to invite people from student services so prospective students can meet who will help them apply for financial aid, build their education plans, provide counselling, and make space for them to truly belong.
Have a lovely afternoon.
Warm regards,
Jorja

At Whatcom, it's mostly info sessions, talking to students in lower division classes, and word of mouth

We would like to acknowledge the people whose land we are gathered on today. Present day Des Moines is located on the traditional village sites of the Muckleshoot, Puyallup and many other Coast Salish tribes who made their homes on these lands and along these waters.
Let us also acknowledge the robust Indigenous communities made up of tribal diversity that originate from around the country, and whose journeys have brought them here and to other locations by ways of forced displacement or seeking opportunities.
Today the same communities celebrate their heritage, showing resilience and tenacity that would be greatly admired by their ancestors.
