At the Center for Urban Education (CUE), we believe that every instructor has the capacity to achieve racial equity in their classroom. They just need the right tools.

Racial equity scholars agree that the success of Black, Latinx, and Indigenous students relies on instructors' understanding of structural and institutional racism while using anti-racist classroom practices.

Therefore, our institute is focused on providing faculty members with inquiry-based tools that help them:

•     Understand how their practices fit within the larger context of racism in higher education

•     Authentically communicate that they are invested in their racially minoritized students’ success and sense of belonging

•     Uncover how their practices can, even if inadvertently, contribute to racial inequity

•     Take action to achieve equitable success
