[BLC] Stepping down as BLC Chair

Dear colleagues,

It is with mixed emotions that I write to let you know that I have stepped down as BLC Chair. A recent promotion at my institution has significantly increased my duties, leaving me without a lot of bandwidth for additional duties outside of the institution.

I have worked with the BLC Executive Committee to identify a new Chair for the year. Skye Field, Director of BAS Programs at Yakima Valley College, has graciously agreed to move from her role as Vice-Chair into the role of BLC Chair for the remainder of the year. Skye and I have spoken about the transition and I believe she is well prepared to lead the good work that the BLC has planned. Teresa Lin will remain in the position of Vice-Chair, ensuring that all Executive Committee positions continue to be filled for the year.

Although I am stepping down as Chair, I will continue to attend BLC meetings as RTC's representative. I look forward to seeing you all at the conference and fall meeting on November 4th and 5th.
