As some of you may have heard, we lost Jim Crabbe yesterday and are very, very saddened as he was a valued colleague here at SBCTC and a legend among our system colleges. Friends and Colleagues

Yesterday evening I talked to Jim Crabbe's wife, Donna.  Jim had a heart attack over the weekend and passed away yesterday.  This is sudden and a shock for his family and for all of us.

Jim was a long time, well respected colleague and friend here at the State Board as well as the college system and will be missed by many.  Jim made his mark in the system.  He was instrumental in putting workforce education on the map for us and positioning our colleges as the state's primary workforce education provider.

Jim and Donna's families are at their home together.  I will let you know about the memorial service once they get that sorted out.
