Hi Julius,

This is a great question, thank you for asking it! Here are the current options for submitting on behalf of a student.

Completed Reverse Referral Forms can be submitted to DSHS by:

     *   Faxing to: 1-888-388-7410, or
     *   Taking it to your local Community Services Office (CSO), or
     *   Mailing to:

DSHS CSD Customer Service Center

PO Box 11699

Tacoma WA 98411-6699

I realize that some of these options are just not feasible for many reasons right now. I am checking with DSHS to see if they have any other alternate options for receiving Reverse Referral Forms. I will update the system as soon as I know more.

As a reminder, please make sure you are adhering to your data security requirements as per your BFET Grant Assurances when utilizing teleworking agreements. Additionally, if you are going to utilized electronic signatures, you need to follow you college's electronic signature policy when implementing. If you are unsure of your college's policies you can check with your Business Office or IT Departments.

Good evening,

I want to thank you for the precautions taken amidst this COVID-19 pandemic.  We recognize that this will affect the operations of the BFET program and we appreciate your patience as we work through policies and procedures.  Attached please find the agency communication to partners and an overview of what we have done as a state agency to ensure the health and safety of staff and participants.  See below for additional program highlights.

•       The BFET program will continue to reimburse for services provided.  If an agency choses to provide telework opportunities for staff.  If agencies chose to implement telework options, ensure program, including security requirements are met.

•       Signatures are needed for the program.  The following are alternative methods in which you can collect signatures if the participant is not in person to sign the form:

     *   PDF electronic signature
     *   Picture of the signed form (emailed)
     *   Mailed signed form (obviously delays the process but an option)

•       DSHS Monitoring visits for March have been cancelled and will be rescheduled at a later date.  We are currently working on a plan to address monitoring visits scheduled in April.

•       Contractual and handbook requirements have not changed.
