Description
The Program Manager will work with Workforce Education (WE) staff to provide support and educational navigation for Workforce Education students, including outreach, advising, barrier identification; removal, tracking and monitoring student progress; financial aid awards and processing payments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL DUTIES
Case Management
·       Manage and maintain a WE student caseload
·       Responsible for the development of quality educational plans that lead to successful completion.
·       Prepare and maintain administrative and business reports and records.
·       Works closely with third party funding programs/agencies, the financial aid department as needed.
·       Assists students with the completion of processes regarding their funding source
·       Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships between the college's faculty, staff, public agencies, and other organizations to provide a smooth transition from the referring agency throughout the admission process and into the workforce program.
·       Collaborate with WE team to develop, coordinate, and manage the orientation, intake, eligibility, navigation and resource support, student retention, enrollment and reporting.
Administrative Support
·       Responsible for the accuracy and timely input of student data into the systems.
·       Determine necessary forms and documentation requirements to ensure BC compliance with reporting and eligibility requirements.
·       Monitor accomplishment of numerical enrollment goals work with the Director of Programs to develop corrective action plans as necessary.
·       Organize and present workshops and develop other support services tailored to meet the unique needs of the WE population.
Information Support
·       Conducts WE information sessions and other presentations as needed.
·       Works closely with registration/admission staff to register students and resolve program coding and tuition issues.
·       Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
·       Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or experience in social services, human services or career services.
·       One year of professional experience supporting diverse populations, low income clients with significant barriers to employment and/or dislocated workers.
·       Effective written and verbal communication skills; problem solving skills.
·       Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
·       Effective customer service skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
·       Experience working at a Community and/or Technical College in student services and/or workforce education.
·       Experience working with adults to develop educational and/or career plans.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
This position is not eligible for relocation allowance.
