[ATcoord] truncated Access101 training??

Hey IT Accessibility Coordinators,

I know a few colleges have adopted the Accessibility 101 training and are running it on their own. I also know some colleges haven't or struggle with this given the time it takes to grade the assessments (I get it - we outsource that work because it is so time consuming!).

I wanted to let you know that I have a truncated version of Accessibility 101 that is only two modules: Module 1: Why/The Laws and Module 2: How to (Word, email, PPT, PDF, procurement). The training assessment is quiz-based (no manual grading!).

My thought was, for colleges struggling to find resources to offering the training but wanting to because they have folks that register too late to get into SBCTC's, you could offer the truncated/auto graded one (but you do still need folks monitoring the Q&A discussion), then for those participants that want/need more and prefer to do the hands on work, you could send them to the SBCTC version.

Right now the truncated version is SBCTC specific, but I could take some time to modify it for the colleges if you all tell me that would be useful.

I'm also wondering if there would be interest in some train the trainer workshops. Thoughts??

This group has been pretty quiet for a while, so I might be way off... let me know what I can do to help.

And if you weren't able to make it to UW's CBI, just know that our appearance of collaboration is making the 4year schools very envious! ;)
