<p class="MsoNormal">The past few years have presented numerous challenges. As staff have continued supporting admissions, enrollment, and general student services, external bad actors have increased their efforts to undermine cyber integrity with fraudulent
applications.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">The Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) remains committed to fraud detection and prevention while minimizing the potential impact to students and staff. As part of these efforts,
a systemwide Fraudulent Application Sub-Group of college admissions staff, registrars, IT staff, and business analysts has been convened to discuss fraudulent application activities and potential solutions. Part of this work includes establishing common fraudulent
investigative business processes across all colleges. <o:p></o:p></p>
