<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The system placement agreement was approved in 2015 to recognize student work in high school as an alternative to placement testing. It was modified in 2018 as a result of changes in the high school assessment
program.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="color:black;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">
<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">As part of the agreement, the Bridge to College transition courses in math and English provide students an opportunity to build confidence and college-ready skills as seniors and enter directly into college-level
courses after graduation.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="color:black;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">
<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The courses are available in over 120 districts and almost 200 high schools across the state, serving a significant number of Black and Latinx students.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="color:black;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">
<span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The agreement expired with the high school graduating Class of 2022 and needs system review and discussion to determine whether and how to extend the agreement to the Class of 2023 and beyond.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="color:black;mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">
