<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt">We are pleased to announce additional ethnic background categories will be implemented in ctcLink for both Campus Solutions (CS) and Human Capital Management (HCM).<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="page-break-after:avoid"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Franklin Gothic Medium",sans-serif;color:#2F5496">When</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt">SBCTC Application Services is currently working to add about 256 ethnic background codes across all race categories (as well as deactivating a few). These new codes should be available in the live environment
on<span style="color:#4472C4"> </span>Wednesday, September 21, 2022. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="page-break-after:avoid"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Franklin Gothic Medium",sans-serif;color:#2F5496">What do I need to do?</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt">Nothing! Some colleges plan to send a communication to their employees and students inviting them to update their demographic data in ctcLink. While this is a great idea, it is not required.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt">This addition does not change any ctcLink functionality; it just adds more options for employees and students to select ethnic codes which best reflect their identity.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="page-break-after:avoid"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Franklin Gothic Medium",sans-serif;color:#2F5496">Background</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:6.0pt">The systemwide Data Governance Committee (DGC) subcommittee for demographics (DemoCom) developed a two-part proposal to add several missing ethnic background codes to both CS and HCM to:<o:p></o:p></p>
