<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">As you may know, our winter meeting was originally scheduled for February 3 & 4 @ Whatcom. At the 12/9 WSSSC meeting, we took a poll on how many would attend a hybrid (in-person/zoom)
versus virtual meeting only. Of those in attendance, 40% selected hybrid (in-person/zoom), 60% virtual.

<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">In December, WACTC met in person with the WSU & UW Presidents but conducted other committee meetings via zoom. January and February WACTC meetings will be virtual, with the
March meeting tentatively scheduled at SPSCC. Several other commissions (i.e., PIO, RPC and IC) are meeting virtually for the near future.

<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Given these factors (i.e., 60%+ WSSSC virtual poll preference, SBCTC, WACTC and other commission plans) and the prediction that we will likely see higher rates of infection
after the holidays, I think it’s best we do not meet in-person for our winter meeting. I consulted with the WSSSC Executive Team and the State Board and they concurred.

<p class="xmsonormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">I will be notifying council leadership of our decision and requesting they meet virtually for now as well.
