<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">As many of you are aware, the new 2020 CIP Codes are out and must be implemented for the 2020-21 academic year. We need to make a few changes based on the changes at the federal level. We are also moving
away from local CIP Codes. These are CIP Codes that are not on the federal list, but were created by SBCTC over the years to address specific college requests.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Since many of the local CIP Codes have been used for courses and are associated to Educational Program Codes (EPCs) in Legacy and plan codes in PeopleSoft, this email is being sent to multiple lists for feedback
or approval. Please collaborate with you Registrar, Workforce Dean, Curriculum Manger, and VPI on this effort.
<b>We need your feedback or approval by May 22</b>, so that we may get the changes implemented for summer quarter in both systems.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">Attached you will find a workbook that lists all the colleges. If you go to the line for your college and follow to the right, you will have a linked CIP for any EPCs or plan codes (first three letters of
plan code) that we show approved for your college. Clicking on the link will take you to the tab that has the old CIP Code and definition and the new or proposed CIP Code and definition. The columns with green headers indicate that the change is at the federal
level. The others are local codes changing to federal codes.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
