<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D">This update is focused on the third component regarding the data collection. The focus is to assess assets and needs regarding behavioral health and suicide prevention services, programs, and
awareness at postsecondary institutions. The information collected will be used to inform future policy discussions at the state level.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D">Forefront Suicide Prevention at the University of Washington, in collaboration with the S.B. 6514 Work Group, is the lead agency on this data collection effort. Scott Latiolais and I both serve
on the Work Group.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:11.0pt;color:#1F497D">The multi-sector Work Group has worked collaboratively to identify variables, definitions and data points for this collection and delivered the first survey in 2018-19. The first survey was completed
by 85 postsecondary institutions in Washington. A summary and report of the 2018-19 data will be provided to participating institutions in December.
