College Grant (formerly the Student Need Grant). SBCTC Executive Director Jan Yoshiwara sits on the WSAC board. She is putting together a group that will focus on community college students (including potential and past students) in this effort, based on the

So to follow up on what I was telling you last night, WSAC wants to lead a big FAFSA completion push as a way to get more students to take advantage of the College Grant. We are working on a bunch of different strategies and tactics and
would love to have the CTCs engaged. I haven't talked to Laura about this yet but will.

The idea is to set a goal of increasing completion (we're
48th) currently. WSAC is running numbers, but maybe we set a goal to increase 10 spots. My simple math says that would be about 8,000 more completed applications. WSAC is also running data around eligibility (using free
& reduced lunch) plus post-secondary enrollment and looking for places with the best opportunities.

We'll then engage a bunch of different tactics to try and reach these students and families. I can review some of the tactics with you and I'm sure you'll have more ideas as well.
