<p class="MsoNormal">On behalf of a system-wide advisory committee, I’m writing to ask your input on an important question that will come up next legislative session: Should community and technical colleges have the same authority as universities to maintain
fully commissioned police forces? Proposals to give us this authority surface regularly, so the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges formed an advisory committee to help launch the discussion and make a recommendation to WACTC (presidents). The
committee is made up of representatives of WACTC, the Student Services Commission, the Business Affairs Commission, and the Safety, Security and Emergency Management Council.</p>
