<p class="MsoNormal">UCOP Undergraduate Admissions oversees systemwide policy, implementation, processes and practices for our nine undergraduate campuses.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The University of California (UC) receives admission applications from students enrolled in High School Completion/Dural Enrollment and/or Running Start programs at Washington State community/technical colleges.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It is our understanding that students and/or counselors in the high school diploma completion program, especially as it relates to your international student population, may be confused as to whether students must apply to UC as a freshman
or a transfer applicant.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Here are UC’s definitions:<o:p></o:p></p>

<b><span lang="EN" style="color:#1F497D">Who is a freshman applicant?<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>

<span lang="EN" style="color:#1F497D">A freshman applicant is currently in high school or has graduated from high school but has not enrolled in a regular (non-summer) session at a college or university. If you've completed college courses during high school
(through summer after graduation), you're still considered a freshman applicant.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span lang="EN" style="color:#1F497D">You're a transfer student if you enrolled in a regular session (fall, winter or spring) at a college or university after high school. (Taking a class or two during the summer term immediately following high school graduation
