Along those lines of avoiding having to gather and distribute the clothing, at my previous institution we worked with JC Penney to provide some generous discounts for students and even hosted an after hours event for students to get apparel.

We opted away from having to manage sizes, styles, etc. and were able to negotiate a discount for our students at a local thrift store.

Does anyone else manage a “career closet” within student services either as a regular service or an occasional pop-up event? If yes, I’d love to connect. In this context I’m thinking specifically about a career closet as a way to give students gently used clothing appropriate for a job interview.
