[Wsssc] Fall 2023 Allocation and Enrollment Monitoring Reports

Dear State Board members, chancellors, and presidents,

In fall quarter 2023, Washington's community and technical colleges saw a 7 percent increase in enrollment, totaling 131,316 full-time equivalent students (FTES). This included a 6 percent rise in state-funded enrollments (92,206 FTES), a 10 percent increase in contract-funded enrollments (36,921 FTES), and 18 percent growth in self-funded enrollments (2,189 FTES) compared with fall 2022.

Enrollments increased across all monitored programs:

  *   Applied Baccalaureate: up 7 percent (+296 FTES)
  *   Basic Education for Adults: up 12 percent (+1,517 FTES)
  *   Apprenticeships: up 11 percent (+433 FTES)
  *   Basic Food, Employment and Training (BFET): up 17 percent (+452 FTES)
  *   Corrections: up 20 percent (+344 FTES)
  *   eLearning: up 4 percent (+3,806 FTES)
  *   I-BEST: up 16 percent (+449 FTES)
  *   International: up 6 percent (+305 FTES)
  *   International Contract: up 9 percent (+371 FTES)
  *   Running Start: up 15 percent (+3,356 FTES)
  *   WorkFirst: up 1 percent (+7 FTES)
  *   Worker Retraining: up 14 percent (+568 FTES)
