• Learn from internationally recognized expert in law and
  higher education: Peter Lake
• Julian Williams, University of South Carolina's first Vice
President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
• More budget conscious than other Title IX trainings
• Focus on social justice implications for campuses

This unique two-day online learning event brings together two subject matter experts to discuss the new Title IX Regulations published by the United States Department of Education with a special focus on the social justice implications for work in student affairs. This learning event will provide an overview of the new regulations and implications for implementation—particularly in the midst of a pandemic and associated economic issues for institutions of higher learning. Session speakers Peter Lake and Julian Williams will place special emphasis on potential social justice impacts of Title IX on university professionals, faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders.
The new regulations may influence equal opportunity enforcement in controversial ways on and off campus, in foreign programs, and with registered student organizations, just to name a few. Perhaps the greatest test of the new regulations may arise in deploying them in a significantly altered set of online and hybridized learning environments. Will the new regulations be helpful or harmful in our quest to create safer and more inclusive learning environments and workspaces free from sex discrimination? This special two day learning event will take you beyond a basic analysis of the new Title IX regulations and address the most pressing social justice questions about how to best support all students and campus employees who will be impacted perhaps dramatically—by these new regulations.
