Colleagues: SBCTC is one of the partner agencies to the Complete Count Committee for the 2020 US Census. There will be approximately 2,500 temporary job openings around the state this coming fall, with flexible hours, in connection with the Census. Please let your students know about these opportunities. They are recruiting to fill some supervisory and specialized positions now. Information on the jobs and how to apply is included in the attached Toolkit.

Hi Community Partners,

As you know, the U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting thousands of workers for temporary jobs available nationwide in advance of the 2020 Census. The 2020 Census Jobs<https://2020census.gov/jobs> website allows applicants to apply for a range of positions, including recruiting assistants, office operations supervisors, clerks, census field supervisors, and census takers. The positions will be located across 248 Area Census Offices nationwide and offer flexible work hours, including daytime, evenings, and weekends.

Having Census Bureau workers who understand our communities and how to best reach them is incredibly important for ensuring a full and accurate count of AANHPI communities. With this in mind, I have attached the Census Bureau's 2020 Census Recruitment Toolkit which contains information about the census and social media guidelines, tips, sample posts, and sample email messages for spreading the word about census job opportunities. It is also available online at https://2020census.gov/partners.html. Please use this toolkit to share job opportunities with your networks and encourage them to apply if interested. Thank you!
