Subject: [Wsssc] Mini-Survey on Running Start

Colleagues: Two quick questions, in preparation for the 2019 legislative session:


1.      Does your college provide any assistance to Running Start students to offset the cost of textbooks and other course materials? Examples might be grant aid, a textbook lending library or exchange, etc.
Our foundation provides funds.

2.      Does your college provide any assistance to students in general (not just Running Start) in this area?
We have a textbook lending service and we have graphing calculators in our tutoring centers and we have emergency funds, also provided by our foundation and last year we expanded the use to include textbooks and tools and uniforms.  We also loan out graduation gowns, so lots of pocket programs.
