Hi all, below is a message with information about upcoming webinars to go over the new SAI criteria. Please forward to your councils and commissions and encourage anyone who works with SAI data to try and attend.

Greetings everyone,

As many of you are aware, last year in 2016-17 there was an SAI advisory committee who studied the need for possible revisions to the system. The advisory committee recommended a series of changes that were approved by WACTC and the State Board in September 2017. A summary of the changes, which are effective as of the end of the 2017-18 year, is attached.

One of the recommendations was to form an implementation technical workgroup to help the state board with defining the new criteria and putting it in place within the data. The work of that committee is now complete and the data under the new criteria has been generated and sent to the institutional research staff at each college for review. The state board will hold a series of webinars (same content presented at each) over the next couple of weeks to help explain the new criteria. Please share this information widely with your campus colleagues and encourage anyone who works with student achievement data to attend. The webinar will be recorded for anyone unable to attend one of the sessions.
