Colleagues: Jan Yoshiwara asked me to forward this to you (below). She will do likewise with your presidents.

Christina, Glen and Marissa: do you have any thoughts you can share about your experience with CCAMPIS, per Bryce's suggestion below?

Here is a link to the CCAMPIS description at the Department of Education website: https://www2.ed.gov/programs/campisp/index.html. Grants are made in four-year cycles and average annual grant amounts are approximately $100,000. There is no institutional matching requirement.

Here is the email from Bryce McKibben, pasted in below:

Good morning Jan, Jon, and Arlen-

Wanted to flag for you that tomorrow morning, the FY 2018 Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) Notice Inviting Applications will hit the Federal Register. The notice is currently on "public inspection" which you can see here<https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2018/06/19/2018-13150/applications-for-new-awards-child-care-access-means-parents-in-school-program>. That link will also work tomorrow and refer to the Federal Register. It looks like CCAMPIS grant applications are going to be due end of July (specifically, on or around July 24th-since it says 35 days from publication).

As you may remember Senator Murray was able to secure an unprecedented $35 million-or 233%-increase to the CCAMPIS program in the FY 2018 omnibus.

Only three of your colleges receive CCAMPIS funds-Edmonds, Shoreline, and Spokane. It would be great to see a much larger number of CCAMPIS recipients in Washington State given the urgent needs of student parents. Perhaps those colleges could share some of their success stories with other interested institutions? Please let us know if there is anything we can provide that would be of assistance in getting the word out.
