[Wsssc] Inquiry about WHEN you do commencement

We typically hold ours in the afternoon on the last day of finals (we finish finals that morning).  Faculty are still on contract that day so they tend to show up.  Our Board of Trustees also hosts a reception afterwards that tends to draw folks in as well.

We are looking at some timing issues with a venue in planning our commencement for 2018. I have a couple of quick-reply questions for you:


-          When do you typically hold your commencement? Before finals week? Before the end of finals week? After?



-          If you hold your commencement after finals week, did you see a drop in participation from students or faculty? What do you do to encourage participation from students or faculty?
