[Wctcca] Due date 6/5/20 for Career Counseling Survey

Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

I hope that this finds you all taking every possible step to practice what you preach and care for yourselves well so that you may have the capacity to care for others. The impact of the pandemic has now been compounded by the impact of increasing awareness of violence and many conflicted feelings about the ways we can take action against and protest racial injustice. All of this is greatly impactful on our already struggling students, but also on us and I encourage you to find the ways that work for you to channel these difficult emotions into healthy outlets, motivation for action and awareness to improve our responses.

It is my hope that at some point this week, you will have the capacity to have one of your team respond to the survey on Career Counseling that Earl Martin of Everett Community College has put together for us. This research will be used directly in the legislative work that Earl has been a strong advocate for and leader in for quite some time. We need your input, so please do respond by this Friday. 50% of the colleges have already responded :)

I’d love to get as complete a picture as possible to report back to your members.

The deadline is THIS FRIDAY June 5th.

The aim is to have colleges coordinate with their campus colleagues who are working on career counseling related services and submit one reply for their campus.
