<p class="xxxxmsonormal">But this exercise does illustrate a bit about how the citation linking works under the hood. And how sensitive it can be to the metadata being used. It also confirms that ProQuest ID mismatch is the issue here.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="xxxxmsonormal">It seems like the ProQuest platform, on its side, should check the DOI and PMID at least, before giving up after a ProQuest ID mismatch. That’s a little surprising to me. But I guess if ProQuest sees a ProQuest ID in an incoming OpenURL

<p class="xxxxxmsonormal">That’s the root cause of the issue, a mismatch in ProQuest identifiers in use, and why the CDI citation is not found in ProQuest.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="xxxxxmsonormal">I’m looking at the link resolver augmentations in Alma to see if they might be of help. But if ProQuest is only checking the ProQuest identifier, that’s probably not going to matter.<o:p></o:p></p>
