<p class="MsoNormal">We also chose not to turn on the Newspaper search because we didn’t want to lose newspaper articles in the Everything search. If we could add the Newspaper search as a search profile, it wouldn’t be so bad, but as it is, users have to find
 the Newspaper search in the Links menu just like the Journal search or find the link to the Newspaper search under the Material type filter (The search terms are lost when clicking the link). I see that content from collections such as U.S. Newsstream, even
 though they are listed as “Newspapers search only” in the CDI Collections List (<a href="https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/@api/deki/files/86572/CDI_Collection_list_0308_Alma.xlsx?revision=1">https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/@api/deki/files/86572/CDI_Collection_list_0308_Alma.xlsx?revision=1</a>),

<p class="MsoNormal">Does anyone have the Newspaper Search activated in Primo?  If so, does it work well for you to have it separated out from the rest of the search scopes?  Would you recommend it over just guiding your students to search the newspaper databases

<p class="MsoNormal">When the Newspaper Search feature first came out my understanding was that if you activate it, then you won’t have newspapers showing up in an Everything search.  So we decided to not activate the newspaper search because we didn’t want
 newspapers siloed.  Either I misunderstood or something has changed.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I just got this response from EL (below, highlighted in yellow) about our newspaper portfolios not appearing in Primo, along with the FAQ, which indicate that they have already stripped newspapers out of Primo for databases that are more
 than 80% newspapers, whether or not you have the separate Newspaper Search activated… ugh!<o:p></o:p></p>

 and in order to see their content in Primo, the Newspaper search option needs to be enabled in Discovery. To enable that option go to Discovery > Central Index and Proxy Set-Up and enable the Newspaper search checkbox. Then go to your View ( Discovery > Configure
