Than a CASE statement will definitely work.

Here are some different CASE statements I use for reports involving Item Process Type.  Modify for your own use. 😊

CASE "Physical Item Details"."Process Type"
WHEN 'In Process' THEN 'Damaged'
WHEN 'Loan' THEN 'On Loan'
WHEN 'Lost' THEN 'Lost'
WHEN 'None' THEN 'Available'
WHEN 'Missing' THEN 'Lost'
WHEN 'Transit' THEN 'Available'
ELSE 'Other' END


CASE "Physical Item Details"."Process Type"
WHEN 'In Process' THEN 'Not Lost'
WHEN 'Loan' THEN 'Not Lost'
WHEN 'Lost' THEN 'Lost'
WHEN 'None' THEN 'Not Lost'
WHEN 'Missing' THEN 'Missing'
WHEN 'Transit' THEN 'Not Lost'
ELSE 'Other' END


Here's what the first example ends up looking like in a Table report:

Hi Melinda:

Thanks. I do know how to run the filters on columns. I want the loan status "none" items to show, but I want to change the heading of the column in my pivot table so people outside of the library knows that if a loan status is "none" that it means it's available. I want to change "NONE" to Read AVAILABLE

Have you run a filter on the column?

If not – here is how…

When you go in to edit the report, you click “criteria” and then click on the Loan Status column settings button, drop down to filter, and then select “Is Equal to” and select those you wish to include. Then save the report or save it as something different (if you need to keep the previous report).
