Hi, All -

Has anyone come up with an elegant solution for telling Alma to address a letter to a patron's preferred name, but if there is no preferred name then to use the patron's first name?

We've gotten our letters to use the patron's first name. But it will insist on using that name instead of the preferred name, and we would rather not use a non-preferred name if they've gone to the trouble of giving us their preferred one.

Any hints would be appreciated.
