Was the scope on the patron role just empty? Or was it set to an unused library or something?

Just a follow up for the sake of the archives here in case it comes up for someone else in the future.
While there were indeed some issues with css, the reason I couldn't see the form was because my patron role didn't have the correct scope.
Unhelpfully, Primo doesn't provide any kind of error message, just an empty "Get it" section when this happens.

SJ / Lauren,

This is a little tricky, as the issue lies in some custom css, rather than in fulfillment configuration.

The link was actually there if you knew where to click.  But the link text was suppressed because of the following stanza in the custom1.css file:

/* hides "need help signing in" text */

button.button-as-link.md-button.md-primoExplore-theme.md-ink-ripple span {

    display: none;

}

I went ahead and commented this stanza out to resolve the immediate issue.

I also suppressed those login help links you were targeting with that css. I just went to: Admin / Discovery / User Authentication, and then disabled the Login Page Help Links from there, without requiring css.

Currently, your requests link is currently not very visible (text is white), because of another customization in the custom1.css file:

button.button-as-link.md-button.md-primoExplore-theme.md-ink-ripple span {

    color: white;

}

I would recommend commenting this stanza out as well, as it's having a broader affect than the the original target, I think. (I saw at least one another label that was also being affected, and so is not very visible.)

If you can tell me which text you originally wanted to  display as white, I could help you find some css to do so without affecting other labels.

The form should only be hidden from community patrons.

I'm wondering if we should suppress Resource Sharing another way besides display logic.

It shouldn't make a difference, but sometimes the way things work is squirrelly.

You said Display Logic Rules shouldn't interfere but that's where I've been controlling when/how the Requests displays in Primo.

I have an active rule "For user groups xxx: Hide service Hold Request if exists service Hold Request."

I edit it to control which groups do not see the Request button. For us right now this is our community users.  So maybe check to see if you have the same rule activated, and have patron groups listed that you don't want listed?  Likewise, if you have the rule activated but no patron group is specified then it is applying to all of our patron groups, so no patron groups would see the button...

Probably not it, but that's all I can think of right now if your Fulfillment Units allow requests.

Hi All,

We have been trying to set up the General Holds Request but can't get it to display in Primo.

Requesting is not showing up on the full record display as an option after patrons log in.

Charles had gotten it to work, but then it disappeared.

We've looked at the relevant settings in:

Display Logic Rules- don't think rules should be interfering?

Circulation Desk configuration- has holds desk

Advanced Policy Configuration- requestable policy true

Fulfillment Units- fulfillment unit rules allow requests, on shelf request policies allow requests

Terms of Use and Policies- terms of use used in fulfillment unit rules look ok

Is there another setting somewhere that we might have changed, or might have been reverted in a monthly update that would affect this? None of us remembers changing anything that seems relevant.
