[Wactclc-alma] [External] external account login issues

I was having a similar problem with logging into Alma. I got the same error message you mentioned. I decided to reset the password just to see if that solved the problem. It worked! After resetting my password I was able to log in to Alma without a problem. Give this a try and see if it works for you.

Hi, y’all –



We’re having an issue with external account logins – that is, anyone with an external account type cannot log into Alma or Primo.  Any attempt to do so produces the following error messages:



Alma - Your login attempt has failed. The username or password or location may be incorrect.



Primo - Invalid UserID and/or Password. Please re-enter.



Library staff can use our administrative and circ accounts, which are both internal, and CPTC students, faculty and staff aren’t exactly clamoring to log into their accounts in Primo, so it’s not a super urgent issue – but, it is a problem we would be delighted to solve!



Has anyone else experienced this?  Is it an Alma issue?  An issue with our SIS upload?  Something else?
