[Wactclc-alma] CDI Activation?

One additional comment, just about 'Active for Search in CDI'...

If you have a collection activated in Alma, it's going to be active for search in CDI regardless of the 'Active for Search in CDI'.

The 'Active for Search in CDI' is really just to make non-activated parts of a collection available in extended search results.

In other words, if you have a selective collection where only some portfolios are active, the active portfolios will automatically be active for CDI. But the non-active portfolios will not.

If you would like those not active portfolios available for CDI (ie, full text citations) search when a user 'extends' their search, you can activate search in CDI for that collection.

You just need to give yourself a new role, 'CDI Inventory Operator'.

That role will allow you to activate and deactivate CDI for a collection.

You can look at the help for that page for explanations of what each of those CDI settings signifies.

Hi Wade,

I'm looking at all the current available electronic collections in Alma and see a note that some of the collections are available for CDI search activation. However, I cannot seem to find a way to activate it. I see there's a CDI tab when I go to Edit Collection, but it won't allow me to make any edits in it. Can you advise?
