[Wactclc-alma] [EXTERNAL*]- Material Type

HI Lynn:

In your Primo display it shows up as an audio book record labeled Audio CD. I don't see it as Music in Primo. Must just be happening in Alma.

 Could it be something in the medium type code table, maybe?

Hello All,



Can anyone tell me where the Material Type of Music, the music icon and “Music By Egan, Timothy” is coming from for this non-musical item? All of my non-music is displaying as such.

Titles and items do display properly in Primo but not Alma.



I checked the 6th position of the leaders in these records and they are correct.

I have looked in the DCMI Material Type Mapping, which I don’t even know what it is and could not find a definition of DCMI.

I have looked in the Physical Material Type Code tables and can’t see anything out of whack there.

I have searched the documentation and cannot find an answer.



In the item records, it does not matter if I assign a material type of Sound Recording, Compact Disc or Play Away, they still display as music.
