[Wactclc-alma] Resource Sharing Borrowing Requests

The as-designed way to process request tasks in Alma is via the requests listed in the Tasks widget on the Alma landing page. (It would generally be pretty cumbersome for a platform like Alma to send an email to someone each time something needs to be processed; that would generate a flood of emails.)

If you have the Fulfillment / Requests Operator role, you will see active request tasks listed in the tasks widget (if there are any items needing processing), which should be on the Alma home page by default.

You can also see open requests that need action from the Fulfillment menu, any of 'Pick from shelf',  'Manage in process items' or 'monitor request and item processes'

Here's the tasks widget I'm talking about, though this example doesn't have any active request tasks showing.

Hello everyone,

We are trying to get our requests set up for faculty and staff. Getting an email, or some form of notification that there are new requests would be great. Would there be a way to put a widget on our ALMA home page?
