Fulfillment issues like this typically boil down to TOU definitions and fulfillment rules.

TOUs are interpreted very literally, so look at the user group, the item location, the item policy (if any), and the conditions set up in the fulfillment rule being applied.

Also, don’t forget the impact of the institutional calendar. Make sure the calendar open and closed days are accurate, and current. Alma may think your library is closed, when it really isn’t.

I think you definitely need to open a support case.

This may or may not have any effect, but we’re run into really weird things happening (item records being relinked to the wrong bib records) when staff don’t have the Form Fill/Autofill settings in their browsers completely disabled.

If you have Form Fill/Autofill enabled, old data seems to get stuck in the computer memory and sent to the Alma servers without you realizing it.

I recommend that all library staff have their browsers set to disable Form Fill/Autofill *and* automatically clear the browser cache when the browser closes.

We really have some weird stuff going on here. One of our staff checked out an end of quarter calculator, and it was given today as a due date. The staff checked it out to herself and got the same results. I checked it out and it checked out for the quarter.

I checked out an end of the quarter book to myself and checked it back in immediately, and a lost fines and fees bill was generated.

Hello,

A student checked out a reserve item that had a 2-hour loan period. It was checked out at 1:58 pm and was returned at 4:03 pm, and a fine was generated. I have the item set so that there is a 1 hour grace period. I can’t find anything else that would have triggered the fine. Was it a fluke?
