Just to clarify, for those who may not be aware...
If your vendor starts providing COUNTER data in R5, but no longer in R4, you can go into the vendor record.
There, you can edit your SUSHI configuration, switching the COUNTER version from 4 to 5.

I, like others, gather COUNTER reports at the vendor sites to get this data. Don't even get me started about the change between COUNTER 4 and 5!
One summer I worked on having COUNTER 4 reports go directly into Alma. This was great for a while but now vendors use COUNTER 5 and it doesn't automatically update. You are also at the mercy of which vendors make that sort of upload available.
I know that ACRL/IPEDs ask for digital item usage, which is so hard to track. I keep thinking there is a better way, but sometimes there isn't. We also have specialized resources for our Baccalaureate programs which aren't always in Alma (i.e. our tax code database).

>From the documentation:
The following are some guidelines that indicate how the source is determined:
* If a patron selects on a title in Primo that is in Alma, the source is the source ID of the system.
* If the source has a colon in it, either the user was a staff member testing the link within Alma, or the user received access to an article from within a database by being referred back to the uresolver to see if the user has a subscription that covers it.
* If the source has an underscore or consists of letters such as wj (Wiley journals), the user received access to the article from a PCI record in Primo.
(Naoko, maybe you already knew this one.)
Still, the Link Resolver Usage subject area could definitely provide some interesting data on which collections (from a Primo Central) perspective, are being used.
For counting ebook usage, not so helpful, except at the title level, as Naoko already reported.

Meanwhile, it appears you can get some group differentiation within the Link Resolver Usage subject area. (Maybe you've already looked at this.)
Screenshots below. Full disclosure, I'm not quite sure how to interpret this data yet.
And it may be that local electronic collections only get reported in bulk. But CZ linked collections do seem to offer some differentiation, using the Source and Normalized Source variables.

Yes, I use COUNTER reports for total usage but I wanted to know if I could run a report on usage within Alma/Primo. I was able to run a report by title, but not by electronic collection in the Link Resolver Usage subject area.

Link Resolver statistics won't include usage that happens outside of Alma (ie, usage that happens directly through the vendor site).
