[Wactclc-alma] Alma Analytics freeze

Thanks for the head’s up, Kirsti.

We talked about this when we discussed the Feb release notes. But details on the migration were not available at that time.

To add to Kirsti’s comments below:

NOTE on Existing Reports: For existing reports, this save / freeze consideration *only* impacts any analyses (ie, reports) saved in your personal ‘My Folders’. Reports saved in the ‘Shared Folders’ tree *prior to* the start of the freeze are not impacted.

NOTE Reports newly created (or changes made to existing reports) during the freeze: Will be lost

The release notes now contain freeze window dates.<https://knowledge.exlibrisgroup.com/Alma/Release_Notes/2020/Alma_2020_Release_Notes>

For NA02 (our environment), those dates are: February 22-29 (notes say 22-28, but I believe they forgot the leap year day)

Recommended actions for WACTCLC:

1. Copy any reports you have (that you want to keep) from ‘My Folder’ to your institutional folder before Feb 22.

2. Do *not* make any changes to existing analytics reports, or create new ones, between Feb 22 and Feb 29.

I've heard from colleagues that Ex Libris is planning an upgrade to Alma Analytics this month. Documentation on the Ex Libris website says that individuals will need to copy saved reports in "My Folders" into their Institution folder before the date of the "Report freeze time"

The documentation also says that any Analytics reports created during the freeze period won't be saved in the new Analytics platform.

When is the freeze period? I can't find any information about that on the Ex Libris website. I know colleagues at Orbis Cascade have a Feb 22 date.

It will be ok!
