Tammy / Lesley,

I just took a look at your respective environments.

At Pierce, the SMS notifications are attempting to go out for Fine / Fee Notification.

At Yakima, the SMS notifications are attempting to go out for Fine / Fee Notification and Overdue / Lost Loan letter.

So, not all letters are affected. And just FYI, the failed attempts to send SMS notifications are not harming anything.


Tammy, your right in looking at the letter activation setting for those related SMS letters.

In neither environment were those affected SMS letters activated.

So, I activated those SMS letters, saved the change, and then deactivated those affected letters and saved again.

I'll check your environments after the next run of those jobs, to see if that resolved the issue.

My thinking is that a configuration bit flipped for some reason, without a corresponding change in the interface.

We'll see. If that's not the issue, I'll open a ticket.

Well, that was yesterday and today is today. :)

Our fines and fees did "fail" this morning. It's the same thing as Tammy reports. The email notifications were sent successfully; however, the SMS messages failed because, duh, we don't send SMS.

Should we open a ticket, Wade?

Starting last night I have had two fulfillment jobs partially fail because they tried to send SMS notifications when the user had no preferred SMS.  However, I don't have any notification letters enabled for SMS.

The first was an Overdue Items - Notification  on 2/2/20 at 11:35 p.m.
The second was a Fines\Fees - Notification on 2/3/20 at 9:03 a.m.

Are any of you experiencing this?  How do I stop this from happening?
