Could you post the Primo permalink to the ProQuest title you’re referring to, and I’ll take a look? You can find it under the … menu for the title in brief search results (screenshot below).

The linking issue could be a lot of things… EZProxy, the configuration in your ProQuest account configuration, or the way the Alma collection and its service are configured.

I’d recommend talking with Tim for some general background. He’s been the Alma / Primo institutional lead there, and should be able to provide some background on how Big Bend has been managing electronic collections, vendor accounts, EZProxy, and configuration of access to those BBCC subscriptions.

Regarding Newsbank, if BBCC is subscribing to the Newsbank trial, the electronic collection in the Alma community zone you’d want to activate is:

Try doing an advanced search, and set availability equal to ‘available’ (meaning the collection is currently activated in Alma)

That should get you want you’re looking for.

I need to compare my  Libguide A-Z List with Databases we have access to.  I thought there was a section in ALMA where I could find them but I don’t have anything listed.  Image below. What is the pathway to that list?

Or would be best accomplished going to my EZProxy list?  Or do I need to review both?

You could potentially have duplicate barcodes in Alma.

Search by that barcode and see what comes up.

I'm actually experiencing the exact opposite in which Alma is not alerting me to the fact an item is currently checked out. I'm trying to find the setting that would trigger the “checked out to another patron” message and block the loan.

Hi everyone,

Today I discovered that when an item currently on loan is checked out to another patron, rather than triggering a message and blocking the loan, Alma instead checks the item in and then back out to the new borrower. While convenient, this is problematic because staff are given no indication that the item was improperly checked in and erroneous fines may have occurred. I can't seem to find the setting for this under Fulfillment > General > Other Settings. Anyone know where to look?
