At Yakima we put file folder labels vertically on the front of the book and stamp the due date there.  We have to make sure that our date stamps are narrow enough to fit on the label.  When the label gets full we can put a new one on top of it or sometimes peal it off and put on a new label.

Hi,

I searched the consortia emails but couldn’t find anything, so not sure if this has been discussed and I just missed it.  I’m just curious as to what other colleges are doing in regards to giving out loan receipts when patrons check out materials.  Do you rely on the system emails that are sent out for patrons to check to see when their items are due?  We’re still stamping due date cards each day.  Do you use a receipt printer (much like a grocery store receipt printer or public library receipt printer) to print out a receipt?  If you are, what are you using?  Is it set up like just like you would normal printing in Alma, or are there extra steps?

I’m curious since I’d like us to not have to stamp due date cards anymore and am curious what other colleges are using/doing.
