[Wactclc-alma] If you have a "Films on Demand" local collection, please check your portfolio activations

Actually, hold that thought.

It's possible that those deactivated portfolios I see are deactivations done by the institution for which the bib records weren't deleted.

(I forgot about the suppressed bibs showing in Primo VE issue.)

We can talk about this one on Tuesday, and look at a couple of examples together.

Subject: [Wactclc-alma] If you have a "Films on Demand" local collection, please check your portfolio activations

For those of you that have set up a "Films on Demand" local collection, I recommend checking your portfolio activations.

In the process of helping SPSCC this week with some FOD issues, I noticed that some of you don't have all of your FOD portfolios activated.

This can happen if you set up the local collection as a 'selective' package, rather than 'aggregator'.

With a selective package, if you didn't have 'activate' checked in the import profile when a portfolio was imported, it won't be fully activated.

Luckily, it's easy to activate all of the portfolios in the collection.

Just edit the collection's service (under the ... menu for your FOD collection in Alma). Then, go to the 'portfolios' tab and select 'activate all' under 'activate / deactivate'.

If you have any questions, let me know. And I will also review this on the call next Tuesday.
